Ingredients
- Watermelon 5 cups mashed
- Sugar 1 cup
- All-purpose flour 2 1/2 cups
- Honey 1 cup
- Olive oil 1/2 cup
- White sesame seeds 1/2 cup
- Salt 1 pinch
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Instructions
In a nonstick frying pan roast the flour at low heat for 4 minutes.Mash the watermelon using a fork (peel its skin first) ,remove the seeds and place it into a big bowl with its juice.Add the sugar,the honey,the salt and the roasted flour,mix all the ingredients until the mixture combines.Grease a roasting pan or a cake tin,sprinkle with sesame seeds and pour the mixture.Spread it evenly,3 cm thick approximately.Sprinkle on top the remaining sesame seeds and bake at 200 degrees for 50 minutes.When it is baked,let it cool and sprinkle with cinnamon.If you want a more sweet pie,add on top 2-3 tablespoons of honey when the pie is still warm.
