Quick chocolate pie


  • Vegetable butter 1
  • Eggs 5
  • Vanilla powder 1
  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Self-rising flour 1 1/2 cups
  • Cocoa powder 3/4 cup
  • Cognac 1/2 small cup
  • Baking powder 1 tablespoon
  • Warm water 1 cup


In a pan melt the butter,add and dissolve the sugar at low heat,add the cocoa powder and stir thoroughly.Add the warm water and stir.Keep 1 cup of the mixture aside.In a bowl beat the eggs and the vanilla powder and add them to the mixture in the pan.Whisk thoroughly.Then add the flour and the cognac,continue whisking.Butter a medium sized roasting pan and pour the mixture in it.Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for exactly 18 minutes (not more because the pie should be tender).Remove from the oven and pour the pie over with the mixture kept.Serve it warm.
