Ingredients
- Butter 3 level tablespoons
- Onions 2 items finely chopped
- Minced beef meat 500 gr
- Potatoes 1 1/2 kg cut into roundels
- Tomatoes concasse 1 packet pureed in a blender
- Tomato puree 1 tablespoon
- Feta cheese 100 gr grated
- Yellow cheese (Kasseri) 200 gr grated
- Salt - pepper - cinnamon
- Vegetable stock cube 1 item
- Water as much as needed
Instructions
In a pan melt the butter and add the finely chopped onions and saute until golden.Then saute the minced meat until it is browned.Season with salt,pepper and a little cinnamon and stir.Add the pureed in the blender concasse,the tomato puree,1 glass of water,the vegetable stock cube and the potatoes,let them boil for 15 minutes(check if more water is needed).Pour the half dose into a fireproof dish,add the grated feta cheese and half of the yellow cheese in between,then pour the rest of the dose and sprinkle with the rest grated yellow cheese.Cover it with tin foil and bake at 190 degrees for 30 minutes.Remove the tinfoil and continue baking till golden brown.Pierce the potatoes with a fork to check if they are tender and it is ready to be served.
