Nests of minced meat stuffed


  • Minced beef 500 gr
  • Minced lamb 200 gr
  • Breadcrumbs 6 tablespoon
  • Egg 1 item
  • Onion 1 big chopped
  • Parsley 1/2 small bunch finely chopped
  • Salt - pepper - oregano
  • Water 2 tablespoon
  • Kefalograviera cheese(hard yellow cheese) 150 gr grated
  • Paprika
Mashed potatoes
  • Potatoes 2 big
  • Butter 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - grated nutmeg


Boil in salted water the potatoes.In a deep bowl put all the ingredients for the meatballs,except cheese and paprika.Knead thoroughly and refrigerate it until the potatoes are boiled or knead it the previous night so as the flavors to mingle.Mash the potatoes with butter,salt and the nutmeg.Shaping the meatballs a little bigger than a tangerine.Put them onto square pieces of parchment paper,press and put them into greased molds,pressing to make a well in the centre of each meatball.Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes,let them slightly cool and sprinkle with a little grated cheese.Put in a piping bag the mashed potatoes and stuff the nests.Sprinkle with paprika and the remaining cheese,put them back in the oven to bake until golden brown and cheese is melt.Served nicely with tomato sauce or spicy ketchup.
