Meatballs with ouzo and mastic


  • Minced pork 1/2 kg
  • Eggs 2
  • Rusks 2 big
  • Onion 1 big
  • Ouzo 2 tablespoons
  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Mastic powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - pepper


Soak the rusks in water until tender and squeeze them well so that there is little moisture left.In a bowl add the minced pork,the onion,the eggs,the ouzo,the vinegar,the mastic powder,the rusks and season with salt and pepper.Knead well until the ingredients combine and refrigerate the mixture for 60 minutes.Shape into round balls,flour them and then fry them in hot olive oil.
