Ingredients
- Caster sugar 1/2 cup
- Eggs 3 ( separate the egg yolks from the egg whites )
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Butter 40 gr melted
- Self-rising flour 1/2 cup
- Lemon 2 tablespoons of the zest
- Lemon 1/3 cup of its juice
Instructions
Beat with an electric mixer the sugar with the egg yolks until fluffy,add the melted butter,the milk,the lemon zest and juice and the flour sifted,continue beating at low speed.In another bowl beat the egg whites until stiff peaks,add the caster sugar and continue beating.Then add the beaten egg whites to the egg yolks mixture,stir gently until the mixtures combine.Butter a roasting pan and bake at 200 degrees for 35 – 40 minutes.( Optionally pour the mixture in 6 molds,they require less time to bake )
