Incredible Greek loukoumades


  • All-purpose flour 3 cups
  • Water 3 cups
  • Fresh yeast 30 gr
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Corn oil
For garnish
  • Honey as much as you desire
  • Cinnamon as much as you desire


In a bowl dissolve the yeast into a glass of lukewarm water.Then add to the bowl 3 tablespoons of flour,mix and let it rise for 20 minutes approximately.In another bowl pour the remaining water,the flour and the salt.Add the yeast mixture and stir constantly until it becomes batter.In a deep frying pan heat the oil and let it smoke.Then take a handful of the dough in your palm and squeeze it out, between your thumb and index finger, onto a wet teaspoon and drop it in the oil and fry until golden.Place them onto a platter lined with absorbing kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil.Then garnish with honey and cinnamon.
