Hazelnut cariocas

Ingredients

  • Butter 220 gr
  • Milk 300 gr
  • Caster sugar 220 gr
  • Cocoa powder 50 gr
  • Hazelnuts 2 1/2 cups chopped
  • Petit beurre biscuits 3 packages,crushed in the blender
  • Dark chocolate 750 gr
  • Olive oil 3 tablespoons

Instructions

In a pan melt the butter at low heat,add and heat the milk.In a bowl sift and combine the caster sugar and the cocoa powder.Crush the biscuits and the hazelnuts in a blender and add them to the bowl with the cocoa powder.Add the milk and knead until the mixture combines and it becomes shapeable.Shape into small rolls and wrap each roll with transparent film.Refrigerate them until thickened.Melt the dark chocolate with the olive oil in bain marie.When the rolls have been thickened cut them into slices,not too thin,and dip each slice in the melted dark chocolate.Dip all the slices and line them on parchment paper,refrigerate them again until the dark chocolate is cool.Serve them on a platter wrapped with silver foil or without.
