Candied orange sticks


  • Oranges 4 items
  • Sugar 2 glasses
  • Water 2 glasses
  • Orange juice 1 glass
  • Dark chocolate 350 gr melted


Wash thoroughly the oranges,peel them but keep the peel.Cut lengthwise the peel into slices removing the pith.In a saucepan put the slices of peel with 1 glass of water,bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes (to remove bitterness).Remove the slices and return to the pan with the other glass of water with the sugar and the orange juice,bring to a boil and add the peels again,simmer for 60 minutes.When they are boiled,leave the peels into the syrup for more 60 minutes and then remove them,drain using your hand and line them onto absorbing kitchen paper.Melt the chocolate in bain marie and using a toothpick dip each orange stick into the melted chocolate.Line them on parchment paper,let them cool and they are ready to enjoy.
