Baked pasta with bechamel


  • Macaroni (tubetti pasta) 250-300 gr
  • Bacon 5 slices finely chopped
  • Cheddar cheese 4 slices
  • Parmesan cheese 100 gr grated
  • Spring onion 1 - 2 items finely chopped
  • Thyme 1 teaspoon
  • Curry a pinch
  • Toasted bread 3-4 slices
  • Olive oil a little optionally
  • Butter 50 gr
  • All-purpose flour 80 gr
  • Nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt-pepper
  • Milk 300 ml


In a blender smash the toasted bread slices with the Parmesan and cheddar cheese slices,the thyme and curry.Chop finely the bacon and the spring onion.Heat the milk.In a large pan melt the butter at low heat,then add the flour and whisk constantly.Once it acquires a golden color,add the milk gradually,stirring constantly until the milk is absorbed and becomes creamy.Add the nutmeg,salt and pepper,whisk and remove from heat.Boil the macaroni in a pan with water according to the instructions on the package.Drain and mix them with the finely chopped bacon and spring onion.Pour into the pan with the bechamel,mix until they combine and pour the mixture into a roasting pan.Pour it over with olive oil(optional),sprinkle with the mixture of the toasted bread and cheese,optionally grate extra cheese on top and bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees until it is baked and the top is golden brown(depending on the oven).We are ready to enjoy  it.
