Ingredients
For the dough
- All-purpose flour 700 gr
- Water 2 cups
- Fresh yeast 1 cube
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon
- Sunflower oil 1/2 cup
For the filling
- Beef mince 3/4
- Pork mince 1/4
- Onions 2 grated
- Breadcrumbs 1 cup
- Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Salt - pepper
- Mustard 1 teaspoon
- Eggs 2
- Olive oil 1 small cups
- Yellow cheese 15 slices
- Ketchup
Instructions
Start to knead the meatballs.In a bowl put the minced meat(pork and beef),the vinegar,the breadcrumbs,the eggs,the mustard,salt-pepper,the olive oil and the grated onions.Knead all the ingredients thoroughly.Refrigerate the mixture.Start to prepare the dough.Dissolve the yeast and the sugar into 1/2 glass of water.In a bowl put the flour,make a well and pour the dissolved yeast,then add salt and the olive oil.Add the remaining water and knead until the dough becomes slightly stiff(add some more flour if necessary in order to have a stiff dough).Let it rise.Shape the minced meat into 15 big meatballs and bake them in the oven until brown(25-30 minutes approximately depending on the oven).Let them cool.Divide the dough into 30 lemon-sized pieces.Roll out each piece into round sheets.Place a meatball onto each sheet,top with some ketchup and a slice of cheese.Top with another pastry sheet and seal the edges all the way around.Follow the same procedure with the remaining meatballs.Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes approximately.
