Ingredients
- Milk 1 glass ( lukewarm )
- Water 1 glass lukewarm
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Salt 1 pinch
- Dry yeast 1 sachet
- Egg 1
- All-purpose flour 1 kg
- Margarine 50 gr
- Sunflower oil for frying
For the filling
- Potatoes 4 ( boiled and mashed )
- Onion 1 big finely chopped
- Salt - pepper
Instructions
In a bowl add the lukewarm milk,the lukewarm water,the melted margarine,the egg,the yeast,the sugar and the salt.Add the flour and knead until the dough is elastic.Let it rise for 3 hours.Meanwhile boil the potatoes and mash them.In a frying pan with some olive oil saute the onion until it browns.Add it to the mashed potatoes and season with salt and pepper.After 3 hours,divide the dough into small balls depending on how big or small you want to make the piroshki,roll them out with a rolling pin into round pieces,place some of the filling in the center of each piece and roll it up.Fry them in hot olive oil.
