Lamb with butter beans


  • Butter beans 500 gr
  • Lamb shoulder 700 gr cut into servings
  • Onions 2 big finely chopped
  • Tomato concasse 1 tin pureed in the blender
  • Tomato paste 2 level tablespoons
  • Butter 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - pepper - oregano
  • Water as much as necessary


Soak the butter beans into water overnight,in the morning boil them until tender (boil for 30 minutes only in a skillet) and drain them.Add the butter in a pan and saute the onions until soft.Add the lamb,saute all the ingredients together for 5 minutes and add the pureed tomatoes,the tomato paste,season with salt,pepper and oregano,add the boiled and drained butter beans,add some warm water just to coat the lamb and the butter beans,simmer for 30 minutes until the lamb is tender and it is ready to enjoy it.
