Zucchini  au gratin


  • Large Zucchinis 1 1/2 kg cut into round slices
  • Cream cheese 200 gr
  • Yellow cheese(kasseri) 150 gr cut into thin slices
  • Milk 1 1/2 glass
  • All-purpose flour 2 tablespoons
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - pepper


Wash the zucchinis thoroughly,cut off their top and bottom and cut them into round slices.Boil in salted water for 5 minutes.Prepare the bechamel sauce in a saucepan,mixing the butter with the flour,add salt-pepper,stir and add 1 glass o milk gradually until absorbed.In another bowl put the cream cheese,the 1/2 glass of milk,salt-pepper and stir.Butter a roasting pan and line the zucchini,pour onto them the cream cheese mixture,the bechamel sauce and then line on top the yellow cheese slices.Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes(depending on the oven).
