Vegetable balls


  • Minced meat 500 gr
  • Zucchini 2-3 items boiled
  • Carrots 2-3 items bolied
  • Potatoes 2 items grated
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • Spearmint 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Parsely 1 tablespoon finely chopped
  • Ouzo 1 shot
  • Eggs 2 items
  • Salt,pepper,paprika
  • Grated cheese 80 gr of your choice
  • Olive oil 3 tablespoons


Peel and grate the potatoes in a bowl with the minced meat.Wash the zucchini,cut them small pieces,do the same with the carrots and boil them in a pan with water until tender.Add the green beans and boil for 8 – 10 minutes approximately.Remove from the heat,strain and add them to the minced meat.Add salt,pepper,paprika,spearmint,parsley,ouzo,1 tablespoon of olive oil,the eggs and the cheese,mix well,knead and shape into wide meatballs.Line them in a roasting pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil,add a little water and bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees.During baking time turn the meatballs over to the other side.Serve them on a platter,you can serve them with boiled vegetables and potatoes or rice.
