- Strawberries 300 gr cleaned
- Sugar 100 gr
- Eggs 4 (only the yolks)
- Eggs 5 only the whites beaten until they hold stiff peaks
- Self-rising flour 5 tablespoons
- Milk 300 gr
- Grand Marnier 4 tablespoons (or orange liqueur)
Clean and wash the strawberries,cut them in half,put them in a bowl with the liqueur and refrigerate for 1 hour.Beat the yolks and the sugar until white in color and add the flour,then the milk,beating constantly and then pour the mixture into the pan.Boil until thickened and let it cool.Beat the whites until they hold stiff peaks,stirring gently.In a buttered ovenproof baking dish line half of the strawberries,spread over them half of the souffle mixture,line another layer of strawberries and top with the remaining mixture.Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes approximately until it rises,sprinkle with caster sugar and serve.
