Orange ice cream


  • Caster sugar 100 gr
  • Heavy cream 500 ml
  • Orange juice 450 ml
  • Orange zest of 1 orange
  • Orange food coloring optional


Squeeze the oranges and drain them thoroughly.In a bowl beat the caster sugar and the heavy cream until fluffy.Add the orange juice and zest and stir.Optionally add 2-3 drops of food coloring for intense orange color.Pour the mixture into a stainless steel bowl,cover it and put it in the freezer.After 5 minutes remove it from the freezer and stir the mixture using a fork to dissolve the ice.Put it in the freezer again.Every 45 minutes remove the mixture from the freezer and beat it with an electric mixture.Beat 6-8 times at least to get the best result and it is ready to enjoy it.
