Ingredients
- Milk 2 1/2 cups
- Self-rising flour 4 1/2 cups sifted
- Brown sugar 1/2 cup
- Butter 1/2 cup melted
- Lemon zest 1 item
- Salt 1 pinch
- Egg 1 item only the yolk
Instructions
In a big bowl put the sifted flour,make a well and add all the ingredients except the milk and the yolk.Knead using your hands and add the milk gradually.Knead thoroughly until the dough becomes pliable.Cover the dough,let it rest for 15 minutes approximately.Shape the biscuits,greasing slightly your hands and place them into a roasting pan lined with parchment paper.Beat slightly the yolk and spread it onto the biscuits.Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes approximately depending on the oven.
