Greek cuttlefish in wine with potatoes


  • Cuttlefish 1 kg
  • Water the water in which you boiled the cuttlefish
  • Olive oil 100 ml
  • Onions 2 items cut into slices
  • Potatoes 5 items quartered
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Red wine 100 ml
  • Garlic 1 clove finely chopped
  • Tomatoes 4 finely chopped
  • Tomato paste 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - pepper
  • Cinnamon 1 pinch
  • Sugar 1 pinch


Clean the cuttlefish,boil them for 5 minutes into slightly salted water,add a bay leaf and cut the cuttlefish into smaller pieces.Saute in olive oil the onions,the garlic and the potatoes for 5 minutes and then add the cuttlefish.Saute all the ingredients,pour the wine and stir until evaporated,add the finely chopped tomatoes and the remaining ingredients.Add as much of the water in which you boiled the cuttlefish as necessary and simmer until the cuttlefish and the potatoes are tender.It is ready to be served and to enjoy it.
