- Sugar 1 kg
- Tsipouro 500 ml or absolute alcohol
- Cinnamon sticks 5
- Cinnamon powder 1 tablespoon
- Water 1/2 liter
- Lemon juice 1/2 lemon
In a pan put the water,the sugar and the cinnamon sticks,boil for 10 minutes until sugar dissolves.Then let it cool and add the tsipouro (or the absolute alcohol) gradually,tasting if the tsipouro (or the absolute alcohol) is too strong and the liqueur becomes bitter.Place in double tulle tied well or in a coffee filter closed well the tablespoon of the cinnamon powder and place it into the pan.Stir until the cinnamon taste is strong.Add the lemon juice and stir.Then pour the mixture into a bottle filtering(straining) it using a double tulle or a coffee filter,keep the liqueur in the bottle and it is ready to be served.
* You can place 2 cinnamon sticks into the bottle with liqueur.
