Ingredients
For the sponge cake
- Eggs 2 items at room temperatures
- Sugar 1/2 glass
- Self-rising flour 1/2 glass
- Vanilla powder 1 item
- Water 1/2 small cup optional
For the cream
- Eggs 3 items
- Sugar 1/2 glass
- Butter 125 gr melted
- Grand Marnier 1 teaspoon(or any other liqueur you desire)
- Cocoa powder 1/2 package
Instructions
For the sponge cake : In a bowl beat with an electric mixer the eggs and the sugar until fluffy,add the flour and the vanilla powder.Continue beating and add a little water if necessary.Divide the mixture into two roasting pans lined with parchment paper.Spread the mixture evenly so it creates a thin layer and bake 5 to 10 minutes maximum each(depending on the oven).The sponge cake should be tender so as not to tear.Remove it from the oven,turn it upside down and remove the parchment paper.Then cut the sponge cake into four stripes.
For the cream : In a bowl beat with an electric mixer the eggs and the sugar,then add the cocoa powder,the melted butter and the liqueur.Continue beating until the ingredients combine and refrigerate the mixture for 60 minutes until thickened.
Assembly : Spread the four stripes of the sponge cake with the chocolate cream and place each stripe onto the other.Refrigerate until cool enough and cut into triangle or square pieces.It is ready to enjoy it.
