Chocolate pie with syrup


  • Olive oil 250 ml
  • Brown sugar 250 gr
  • Eggs 4 items
  • Dark chocolate 300 gr melted
  • Milk 300 ml
  • All-purpose flour 300 gr sifted
  • Baking powder 40 gr sifted
  • Orange zest 1 tablespoon
  • Milk 250 ml
  • Brown sugar 200 gr
  • Cocoa powder 50 gr
  • Margarine 100 gr


In a big bowl put the olive oil and the sugar,whisk until the sugar is dissolved and add the eggs and the milk.Continue stirring,taking care not to make bubbles.Add the orange zest,the dark chocolate melted in bain marie and the flour with the baking powder(sifted)gradually.Continue stirring until the mixture combines.Grease with butter a roasting pan,30-32 cm,sprinkle with some flour,shake it to remove the excess flour and pour into the roasting pan the batter.Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes(depending on the oven).Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Syrup:In a pan put the milk,the brown sugar and the cocoa powder to boil for 5-6 minutes,stirring constantly.Then add the margarine,stir for 2 minutes and remove the pan from the heat.Score the chocolate pie slightly and pour the hot syrup onto the warm chocolate pie.It is ready to enjoy it.

*If you want the chocolate to be sweeter,add some more sugar in syrup(approximately 30 gr).
