Ingredients
For the dough
- All-purpose flour 1 kg
- Dry yeast 2 sachets
- Sugar 1 1/2 tablespoon
- Corn oil 1/2 cup
- Salt 1 tablespoon
- Vinegar 1 teaspoon
- Lukewarm water 1 - 1/1/2 glass
For the filling
- Gouda cheese 1/2 kg grated
- Ham 10-15 slices
- Bacon 10-15 slices
- Ketchup
- Oregano
- Green pepper 1 optionally
- White round mushrooms optionally
- Eggs 2 only the yolks
Instructions
In a big bowl add all the ingredients for the dough except water and mix.Add the lukewarm water gradually kneading until the dough does not stick to your hands.Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 60 minutes at least.Cut the ham and the bacon into slices,cut the pepper and the mushrooms into small pieces.Divide the dough into egg sized balls.Roll out each ball using a rolling pin into wide oblong strips ( 10 – 15 cm approximately ).Spread the strips with ketchup,sprinkle with oregano and Gouda cheese,top with the cut rest ingredients cut into pieces (ham,bacon,pepper,mushrooms).Fold the edges of the strips to prevent the filling from coming out and then roll them up. Press lightly against the sides of the dough with your finger to seal the rolls and shape them into rings.Beat the yolks and spread with it the bread rings,sprinkle with some grated cheese and bake at 180 degrees for 20 – 30 minutes until brown.
