Cake pops

Ingredients

  • Any kind of cake left or make a cake see corresponding recipes
  • Dark chocolate 150 gr
  • Hazelnut praline 4 tablespoons
  • Lollipop sticks as many as the cake balls you want
For the coating
  • White chocolate 200 gr
  • Dark chocolate 200 gr
  • Colored sprinkles for sprinkle or candies or nuts

Instructions

Use any kind of cake left or make a cake see corresponding recipes : Chocolate cake & Two tone chocolate cake

In a food processor crumble the cake.In a saucepan melt 150 gr of the dark chocolate and add the praline.Mix the crumbled cake with the chocolate mixture and knead well until all the ingredients combine.Shape into small balls ( like truffles ) and refrigerate for 60 minutes approximately covered with some transparent film.Melt the white chocolate in bain marie and do the same with the 200 gr of the dark chocolate in another bowl.When both kinds of chocolate are melted place them in 2 different bowls.Dip the very end of the lollipop sticks into the melted chocolate and then insert them into the cake balls.Dip the balls into any of the melted chocolate you want ( you can dip half of the balls into the white chocolate and half of it into the dark chocolate ) let the excess chocolate drip off and sprinkle with the colored truffles.

* The preparation time depends on whether you use any cake left and just crumble it or you have to make a cake.

* Instead of colored sprinkles,you can use candies or finely chopped nuts.
