Ingredients
- Bananas 4
- Thin semolina 300 gr
- Milk 3 1/2 cups
- Butter 70 gr
- Sugar 150 gr
- Eggs 4
- Bread crumbs 1 1/2 cups
- Lemon 1 1/2 tablespoon of the juice only
- Lemon 1 teaspoon of the zest
- Salt a pinch
For the glaze
- Dark chocolate 500 gr
- Butter 1 1/2 tablespoon
- Milk 1/2 cup
Instructions
In a pan boil the milk with the salt, add the semolina and stir quickly to avoid lumps.Boil for 15 minutes approximately and remove the pan from the heat.Add the butter,the lemon zest, the sugar, stir well and let it cool.Beat eggs slightly, add them to the mixture and stir.Peel the bananas, cut them into strips and sprinkle with the lemon juice.Butter a roasting pan or a Pyrex spread the breadcrumbs and add on top a layer of the mixture prepared,add a layer of bananas, then another layer of the mixture, another layer of bananas and on top another layer of the mixture.Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 60 minutes.When it is baked let it cool and place it on a platter.Prepare the glaze,heat the milk in a pan.When it is warm add the dark chocolate cut into pieces and the butter,stir well to prevent sticking.The glaze should be neither fluid nor thick .Let it slightly cool and pour it over the banana cake.
